Water
It may train a fair amount here, but torrential downpours are not too common. We returned a helium tank and within the few minutes to load the kids back in the car I was drenched. Here is a small idea of how wet I got in a very short period of time.

Curly
S's hair is pretty stick-straight. However, now that it is getting a little longer she is starting to get curls in the back. This picture is not the best of them, but it is the only recent one I have. I wish I had one that showed how curly it actually gets, but this one will do until then. Her hair is too wet in this picture as it was right after swimming.

Sunshine
Early sunset as seen from a hot air balloon (yep, it is another hot air balloon picture -- but this one was even taken on the right day of the photo a day prompt for sunshine).
Listening To ...
What household with kids is NOT listening to this on a daily basis (yes, I know there are some that aren't...)?!
Though, as a little plug -- I do LOVE our Sonos speakers.

Torn
They are doing road construction on a road not too far from us. On the way back home from swimming a pothole was hit and the tire was "torn."
Old School
Not sure that this really counts as old school, but hey, why not?
Having an outdoor tea party with the girls, with a visit from Rapunzel. ;-)
Grape soda pop in a glass bottle.
Look Up
Looking up into the hot air balloon while in flight.
The sky and top of the balloon while looking up and out of the balloon.
Up into the balloon with flames.

Interior
We finally got to go on our hot air balloon ride! It was such a beautiful night, and the ride was so relaxing!
Here is the interior of the balloon as it is being filled with air.

Gold
Gold and silver fixtures are throughout the house -- from faucet handles to towel bars to toilet paper holders. We have slowly begun to replace them with plain silver ones instead.

I've Never ...
I have never been stand-up paddle boarding. It seems like with all of the lakes and places that rent the boards around here that I should be able to get out and do this with relative ease ... hopefully soon!

First
S has been wanting to use scissors for quite awhile now after seeing her big sister use them. We hadn't felt that she was ready yet, even with children's scissors. The other day I decided she could finally start practicing the motion, and try cutting some paper. Here is her first time using scissors (and let me tell you - if you need some fringe detail on anything - she is your girl!):

On The Table
We got four large logs from one of our neighbors when they had a tree removed. We are going to make them into side tables for a fire pit. I was out washing them down a little before coating with some polyurethane. The surrounding trees casted some leafy shadows on the tables, and you can see one of my necessities this summer: a ThermaCell mosquito repellant lantern.

Stars
I would love to be able to take pictures of the stars. We once ordered binoculars so we could dip our toes into star/planet watching, but we were sent a camera attachment that works with your camera and a telescope to take pictures of the sky instead. I was tempted to keep it (or actually order one), but I wanted to see how much we used the binoculars first so we sent it back and haven't ordered one.
These stars were a little easier to capture:

Match
We have driven by this scoop shoppe many times. We never had a chance to stop, and once we were gone it was out of sight, out of mind. I finally remembered on a hot day that we should check it out. So, after a great day of park playing we headed over to Snoqualmie Ice Cream Scoop Shoppe. They have quite an extensive menu of different flavors of ice cream, shakes, and gourmet sundaes.
They also had games for people to play. We played the memory version of the I Spy game while we finished our ice cream. I already can't wait to go back (I may be drooling writing this post)!

Something That Begins With "K"
We were heading to the park after eating brunch with some friends, and we stopped to have a seat near the water. Opportunity presented itself, and here we have a little kiss.

Red and White
Red and White, how hard can that be? Apparently, quite hard. It seems that many days I took photos of something red and white, but not intentionally. And those same photos I already was planning for one of the other days, and I didn't really want to double-up. Then I started to overthink it. So, just to get day one in the books, here is my Red and White picture:
This was a yummy dessert pizza that I made for a Fourth of July party. Thankfully we are being flexible with when we are taking the photos as I certainly did not have one on the actual first of the month!

Purple Flowers
One of my favorite things about living in the Pacific Northwest is having an actual Spring. You know, where trees turn green again, buds grow on trees, flowers bloom, and the weather gets warmer. Yes, we still have our fair share of rain in the Spring (it is raining as I write this in fact). Spring weather is far from consistent, but we actually can witness the renewal of life around us. Growing up, I was more used to snow, mud, and then summer. We would see the trees turn green, but oftentimes it was closer to summer than in Spring.

Photo Challenge
I am not doing a photo challenge for the month of March. I realized that it was too much during my last class. My next class starts in a couple weeks. Once I have a better idea of the workload in that class, then I can see if I can do a new challenge in April (or possibly May). If the workload is too much, I will be off the photo challenges until probably June (I don't plan on taking classes during the summer). Until then, I decided I would do a seasonal checklist. I'm not going to worry about getting to all of them on the list; I am simply going to go about my business and see how many I was able to complete come the end of Spring. After reading the list, it will be a walk in the park to get some of them done (in fact, I think three of them are ready to be checked off!). The Spring list I am using is from the "Simple As That" blog, and it can be found here.

Peaceful, In Love With, Up
I kind of forgot that I hadn't posted the last three days of the February photo challenge. Better late than never I suppose ...
Day 26:
Day 26:
Peaceful
S had a recent spell of not being able to sleep through the night. We had a few days of her falling asleep in the car on the way home from dropping A off at school. This particular day, I managed to transfer from the car to the house without her waking (which never happens). I was going to force her to get up so she could nap later, but she was so peaceful I let her sleep.
Day 27:
In Love With
My little family. The bottom picture makes me crack up - it looks like I have a tiny hand, and that I am touching my chin, but it is A's hand.
Day 28:
Up
Things are looking up! Springtime blossoms
